Below is a short article from The Economist, 11th August 2018 linking the School Summer holidays to social mobility. Of interest (refer to the full report page 48) is how well-off-families tend to use Summer breaks to engage their children in extra-curricula learning; developing critical thinking skills, practical skills and financial literacy.
Regardless of background, it is essential for children to challenge themselves physically, socially (play) and mentally (keep learning)!
