Our Policies & Expectations
Prior to admission, we ask parents to read and accept our 'welcome letter' containing our terms and to respect the following rules or exercise the below guidance. Below are some of our expectations from Parents and Students.
(1) There is an implicit appreciation that learning requires hard work. We will work hard to develop content and coach your child. Similarly, your child is expected delve deep and work hard to follow-up on their learning at home, review their hand written notes, review our course materials and practice our question challenges, cross-reference and read from their text books, and read from high quality newspapers. A high performance student in his/her academic studies is no different to a high performance athlete training for their event. No pain, no gain.
(2) We do not accept students wishing only to join our Science classes without joining our Maths. This minimises physical disruption in the classroom when transitioning from Maths to Sciences. Secondly, our data consistently shows that Students not attending our Maths training perform more poorly than their Science peers who do.
(3) We have limited classroom space...and there is usually a waiting list for new students. We encourage students to attend consistently and regularly so there is continuity and momentum in their learning. This is because we run a structured training programme where the course material and flight path for the year has been pre-planned. By default, course material will only be shared with attendees.
Secondly, If we deem a student's attendance pattern is not supportive of their learning, then their membership with us will yield no benefit to them. Consequently, we will rescind your membership. Non-attendance three weekends in a row will usually be construed as automatic withdrawal.
